The Role

The Manager of Business Development is responsible for onboarding, training, and leading a team of Business Development Representatives and Business Development Analysts . This individual will report to Glia’s Director of Business Development, and will lead BDRs tasked with inbound lead qualification and outbound sales prospecting.

You will be a key manager to a high-profile team, enabling top of funnel growth for the Sales organization, and ultimately achieving our most important corporate goals.

What you'll do

  • Manage a small team of BDRs whose role consists of managing inbound prospecting, building sales pipeline and opportunity identification
  • Optimize the day-to-day performance of the BDR team, leading to successful monthly and quarterly quota attainment
  • Drive a very high-performance culture to source, qualify, and hand over qualified opportunities to our sales executives as efficiently as possible
  • Work with Director of Business Development  to provide best in class training on Glia’s value proposition, best practices for qualifying inbound interest, and outbounding campaigns. 
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s to coach and mentor individual BDRs and BDAs
  • Provide weekly reporting and analysis on team performance as well as predictive analytics and forecasting to future results based on current performance and historical trends

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS Sales required
  • 2+ years Sales/BDR leadership experience required
  • Ability to hire, coach, train, and mentor
  • Data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision making
  • Experience with sales CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Pipedrive) required
  • Experience with sales development systems (e.g. Outreach, Salesloft, Yesware) preferred
  • Desire to tackle challenging and diverse tasks, strong organizational skills, work ethic and attention to detail, superior professionalism, resourcefulness, and judgment
  • BA/BS or related work experience
