Our Engineering team moves fast and are devoted to scaling our highly available, multi-region, feature-robust, continuously-delivered, AWS-K8s-hosted, microservice-powered and mission-critical system.

The Role

As a Senior Front-End Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and building scalable web applications using technologies such as ES6 and ReactJS. You’ll be working closely with back-end software engineers, product designers and client engineers. Even though you’ll be focused on your team’s objectives, you’ll be collaborating with engineers across the Engineering department. Overall, you’ll live for the details to create sleek digital experiences.

 

Since all our product teams are self-reliant, at some point you will work on some features that require back-end work as well. The exact amount will vary depending on the projects your team undertakes. That said, prior experience as a back-end developer is not required and you can learn on the job.

We’re looking for a self-starter with the energy, drive, and determination to accomplish goals. If you are results-oriented with a high attention to detail and quality, read on!

 

Technical Requirements

  • Expert in writing semantic and accessible HTML and maintainable CSS
  • Knowledgeable in JavaScript and DOM interaction
  • Confident working with modern front-end frameworks and tools
  • Able to write readable and concise code
  • Capable of translating detailed designs into components
  • Prepared to identify areas of improvements and provide data-driven reasonings
  • Great organizational, self-management and time management skills
  • Capable of working with automated testing standards

 

In 6 months, you will have:

  • Been on-boarded onto your team and have the insight of how to succeed in your role
  • Understood why what we do is important and how your work directly impacts the world
  • Gained basic domain expertise of your team’s products
  • Joined your team in building out features and improved our codebase
  • Had your voice heard in two quarterly planning cycles 
  • Seen your work being used directly by thousands of people
