The role 

As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading one of our product teams. You will partner with engineers, a Product Manager, designers and technical writers to deliver world class solutions that solve real customer needs. The role is a combination of managing delivery, strategic and tactical planning, systems design, team management (including coaching and individual support), and continuous improvement of processes and solutions.

In addition to being a part of a product team, you will also be a part of an engineering management team. With your peers from other teams, you will form a group that collaboratively works on broader strategic initiatives and larger organizational challenges & opportunities.

You will
  • Take ownership of the delivery and management of services in the team’s portfolio
  • Foster a strong partnership with your engineers and Product Management counterpart to deliver the best results
  • Drive continuous engineering process improvements and strive to be a highly performing team
  • Adopt best practices and tools to ensure team autonomy and business continuity
  • Collaborate with partner engineering leaders on strategic initiatives
  • Mentor and coach engineers to support them in their careers
  • Attract, hire, onboard and retain top talent
  • Experience in software engineering
  • Experience in managing software engineers
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in coaching and/or mentoring
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to foster an inclusive and empathetic environment
