Glia’s Internal IT team plays an integral part of Glianeers day-to-day lives. To make sure all Glianeers are supported, our IT Engineers work in two time zones (Estonia and Mexico), helping colleagues resolve their IT related challenges and setting them up for success!
For this role, we hire in: Estonia (remote or in our offices in Tallinn or Tartu). 

The role 

At Glia, Team Leads play a critical role in the growth and sustainability of our effective organization. You will be responsible for the people, processes and delivery of our Internal IT Support team. You will make sure that the team is working well together and that their activities are aligned with the stakeholders. The team chooses their own priorities, thus you will have a big say on the future direction of Glia!

In your work, you will..

  • Lead and mentor an international team of IT specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning and ownership.
  • Continuously review and improve IT processes with the team and its stakeholders.
  • Shape the internal IT roadmap and align it with the wider organizational goals. 
  • Lead and facilitate conversations to ensure that your team collaborates effectively. 
  • Ensure that your team has the right people to deliver on its objectives. You will do so through hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Build trust-based relationships with the members of your team through 1:1s to facilitate effective feedback and flow of information.
  • Help the team by facilitating cross-departmental collaboration to solve any challenges that come up – for example working together with the Compliance & Security team in Glia to ensure safety in our internal IT practices.
  • Oversee all IT projects, from beginning to end – ensuring timely delivery, quality and communication with the stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the team’s goals and objectives, as you provide hands-on technical expertise, assisting the team in troubleshooting complex issues and finding innovative solutions.
  • Develop strong relationships with our current vendors, and stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends.

  • Communication: Slack, Atlassian
  • Infrastructure: AWS


  • Good understanding of Internal IT tools and experience in the field as an individual contributor
  • Experience with leading Internal IT teams and/or processes
  • Experience with managing a team’s roadmap while collaborating with different stakeholders
  • Ability to manage technical projects and roll out changes
  • Ability to motivate and inspire the team around you
  • Ability to identify opportunities for team training and skill advancement
  • Great communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Bonus: Experience with cybersecurity is going to be very beneficial.
