The Role

The Director of digital Marketing is responsible for the development and implementation of effective digital marketing programs focused on demand generation, opportunity creation, pipeline acceleration, and nurturing prospects/customers along the buyer’s journey. This position directs all digital demand activities and is a strong influencer in maximizing ROI across all channels, including events and business development. 

With a deep understanding of the marketing technology landscape, and experience with relevant digital marketing technologies (personalization, data platforms, analytics, etc.), you will plan, budget, strategize and execute digital demand programs that drive new logo acquisition, and cross-sell and upsell efforts with existing customers.

A big part of this role is leading digital account-based marketing (ABM), leveraging intent data through the 6sense platform. You will drive the implementation and testing of digital marketing programs–including lead nurturing, lead scoring and prospect/customer segmentation–within the Marketo platform. And you will work to optimize Glia.com to drive traffic to and conversions on the site. 

This is a remote position and reports to the CMO.

 

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategy and optimization of multi-channel digital marketing programs to expand marketing reach, grow website traffic and increase conversion of inbound leads
  • Lead the planning, development and execution of digital marketing playbooks to engage prospects and customers through their buying journey
  • Develop, plan, and implement paid digital advertising strategies based on SEM and intent
  • Partner with pipeline owners and other channel owners to build integrated digital programs that support pipeline and revenue targets
  • Set strategy and execute account-based digital marketing campaigns based on products, verticals, strategic objectives, customer lifecycles, and business priorities
  • Build foundation and drive continual optimization for email nurture programs, ongoing thought leadership email nurtures and pre-/post-event lead nurtures
  • Lead recommendations and implementation of new and modern digital marketing opportunities, capabilities, and tactics (e.g. leveraging 6sense intent data to target prospects)
  • Establish overall strategy and manage SEO projects to increase digital reach and website engagement
  • Work closely with pipeline owners to plan and manage budget across all digital channels and platforms
  • Track and measure performance of digital marketing campaigns and propose optimization initiatives to maximize marketing ROI
  • Stay updated on the most recent digital trends, ongoing advancements in digital technologies and marketing best practices

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in B2B marketing programs and demand generation, both developing and executing programs
  • Demonstrated track record of digital demand success (customer acquisition across multiple verticals) in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Successful background in creating compelling content that attracts and engages target audiences
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices
  • Understand strategic and technical aspects of demand generation, lead generation, lead scoring and nurturing, campaign management, email marketing and data quality
  • Experience with Account-based Marketing (ABM) platforms and intent data (6sense, Demandbase, etc.) is a must 
  • Minimum of five years of "hands-on" work experience using marketing automation platforms; Marketo experience preferred
  • Webflow or similar CMS (WordPress, Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager, etc.) experience preferred
  • Google AdWords experience is a must. Experience with other PPC providers (Bing Ads, Yahoo, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with sales development systems (e.g., Salesloft, Outreach) preferred
  • Experience with data cleansing, data stewardship and data manipulation is a must
  • Experience with enterprise reporting of marketing/sales performance is a must
  • Marketo Certification a plus, Salesforce.com certification a plus
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Desire to tackle challenging and diverse tasks, strong organizational skills, work ethic and attention to detail, superior professionalism, resourcefulness and judgment
  • Education: BA/BS
